What is a business process?
A business process is a set of activities or tasks performed in a structured manner to achieve a specific organizational goal. As a City of Sandy Springs employee, you are involved in dozens of business processes on a daily basis.

Why is the City digitizing its business processes?
Digitizing business processes enables us to streamline day-to-day work by automating certain aspects of workflows. This empowers you to break free from repetitive, manual work and focus on higher-priority tasks.

Will this impact me?
Every employee will be impacted differently depending on the business processes you are involved in. In general, if you are currently filling out paper forms, Excel spreadsheets or editable PDFs and emailing them as part of your job, there is a good chance that you will be interacting with Laserfiche in the future. Laserfiche will also be replacing Docusign in some business processes.

Will I need a Laserfiche account?
Some employees will need a Laserfiche account. Typically, this will apply to people who are part of an approval process. Other employees will interact with Laserfiche via simple web-based forms that do not require a Laserfiche account.

How do I get a Laserfiche account?
To begin with, we will be assigning accounts to employees that need them as they are part of a newly digitized process. We will reach out to you about this. To request account access, please submit a request .

If I have an account, how do I log into Laserfiche?
Go to signin.laserfiche.com. The first time you visit, you will need to enter the City's account ID: 273017556. After that, you will just need to click the "Sign in with SAML" button and you will be automatically logged in.
