On Sunday, July 5, SSPD received a call regarding some kittens being thrown from a moving vehicle on Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Johnson Ferry Road. Officer Philip Housand responded to the area and located one kitten safe and unharmed. Animal control was requested but was delayed due other calls. While trying to decide what to do with the kitten, Officer Housand fell in love with it and decided to keep it as a new addition to his family.
