Roswell Road/Dalrymple Intersection Improvements

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Currently, there is only one left turn lane on eastbound Dalrymple Road, onto northbound Roswell Road. While the turn left lane presently only extends 33 feet, a traffic study into this intersection shows traffic backup between 150-700 feet, primarily due to the number of drivers attempting to make a left turn onto Roswell Road.
The project will add an additional eastbound left turn lane, increase operational efficiency, and create a better flow of traffic.
Additionally, the corner curb returns on all four corners of the intersection will be adjusted to allow for vehicles (specifically buses, and emergency vehicles) to make the turn safely. This, in turn, will also increase pedestrian safety and bring the intersection up to ADA standards.
