As mentioned in the April 1 City Wide Meeting and in the City Manager's recent email, the Employee Recognition program has been updated. The main difference is employees will be recognized for the entire year, rather than per quarter.  Outstanding employees will be recognized at the November City Wide Meeting.  Staff are encouraged to nominate colleagues all year long based on their actions anytime from November 2020 to October 1, 2021.  The Employee Recognition Committee has representatives from each department who will work together to select awardees.

Five outstanding employees will be recognized in November, one from each of the following categories:

1. Police, Fire, Courts, and Legal

2. Communications, Community Development, and Economic Development

3. Recreation & Parks and Create City Springs

4. Public Works and Facilities

5. Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, and City Clerk

Each category winner will receive an award, a vacation day, and two tickets to a Create City Springs performance.  The overall winner for Employee of the Year will also receive an additional vacation day and a premium parking spot at their work location!

Please note: To allow more people a chance to be recognized, all 2020 Employee of the Quarter Finalists are ineligible for one year, and any 2020 Employee of the Quarter Winners are ineligible for three years.
