Path 400 Multiuse Trail Extension
Description: The Path 400 Multiuse Trail will extend the existing 5.1-mile path from Loridans Drive north to the GA 400/I-285 Interchange. TSPLOST funds will also be used to leverage state and federal grant opportunities.
Project Description:
The Path 400 Multiuse Trail will extend the existing 5.1-mile path from Loridans Drive north to the GA 400/I-285 Interchange. The path will be built primarily within the existing Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) right-of-way along GA 400. The extension will also provide connectivity to the proposed multiuse paths on Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Mt Vernon Highway.
The Path 400 project is included within the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (T-SPLOST) program approved by voters in Sandy Springs and Fulton County as part of the T-SPLOST referendum passed in November 2016. The project was also included in the voter approved TSPLOST 2 referendum in November 2021.

The City of Sandy Springs hosted two public meetings to provide the community with information about the proposed Path 400 Multiuse Trail Extension. The first of these two meetings was on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – noon. A second town hall meeting was the same day from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Both meetings covered the same content and was held at the Highpoint Episcopal Community Church, 4945 High Point Road, Sandy Springs 30242. In each meeting, residents participated in an interactive design charette and had the opportunity to view maps, provide input and ask questions about the project.
