Peachtree Dunwoody Road Bike/Pedestrian Trail

Status: Design contract award approved by MCC on 12/5. Contract executed 1/4/2024.

Background: The goal of the project is to improve bicycle and pedestrian facilities between Hammond Drive and Mt.
Vernon Highway. The Project consists of the design, right-of-way acquisition, utility coordination and
construction of a twelve (12) foot wide bicycle/pedestrian side path with a six (6) foot wide landscape
buffer and a minimum of one (1) foot back of path buffer on the west side of Peachtree Dunwoody Road
from Hammond Drive to Mt. Vernon Highway. This will tie to the Peachtree Dunwoody Lake Hearn
Connectivity Improvements Project (Project No. T-2208), as well as to the Mt. Vernon Highway Corridor
Improvements Project (Project No. TS-192).
