WEATHER

The weather during Sparkle Sandy Springs is forecasted to be a bit chilly. Be sure to bring a jacket and sip on hot cocoa

In the event of significant weather, we will announce updates on social media - @citysprings on Facebook or @visitcitysprings on Instagram

WHERE TO PARK

Due to anticipated heavy traffic and road closures, you should plan to use the FREE SHUTTLE that will run between Lake Forest Elementary School and Sparkle Sandy Springs throughout the event. 

Please only park in approved Parking Lots. If the Lake Forest Elementary parking lot is full, the next best parking lot is at SSUMC Activities Center. 

ADA Parking is available in South Lot and the City Springs Parking Deck.

FOOD & DRINK

Only alcoholic beverages sold on site are allowed. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the outside bar stations and CityBar. 

Hot Cocoa will be available at the Sparkle Wonderland, Skate City Springs concession stand, and CityBar. Hot Cocoa Locations are shown on the Event Map

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 

Is it free?

  • The event is free to attend.
  • Items will be available for purchase, including at the Artist Market, Food Trucks, etc. 

What should I bring?

  • It is forecasted to be a bit chilly. Be sure to bring/wear a jacket. 
  • Wear comfortable shoes. The walk from most parking lots to Sparkle Sandy Springs is 0.5 miles or less.
    • Staff will be utilizing golf carts during the event and will not be able to give rides to attendees.

Can I bring table / chairs? 

  • Blankets & lawn chairs are allowed in parade viewing areas. 
  • Due to the Skate City Springs rink, blankets & lawn chairs are not allowed on City Green. 
  • No tents. No pop-up tents, tarp tents, or canopy tents.
  • No outside tables. Please do not move existing bistro tables and chairs on the plaza.

Can I bring my dog?

For the safety of both pets and people, we ask that you leave your pets at home during the festival. Service animals are permitted. 

Where are the restrooms?

  • Restrooms & porta-potties are available throughout Sparkle Sandy Springs & approved parking lots. ADA restrooms are available at all locations. 
  • Indoor restrooms are available in Mt. Vernon Hwy brick building, or in City Hall. 
  • Porta-potties are available:
    • At the Lake Forest Elementary School Parking Lot 
    • At the SSUMC Activities Center 
    • Near the Byers Theatre. 
    • Near the South Lot

Can I bring my drone? 

  • Drones are not permitted.

Are there any road closures? 

  • Yes! Learn more about Road Closures
  • Customers will be able to access the Springs Landing Shopping Center (Brooklyn Café). 
  • Residents of Blue Stone Lofts, the Aston, and other neighboring apartments will be able to access their parking garages. 
  • The City Springs Parking Deck will be closed during the parade (times may vary) 

    • East Entrance closed 5:45 PM - 7:00 PM

    • West Entrance closed 6:15 - 7:00 PM
