All properties must conduct a separate inspection of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) utility equipment required every 5 years to make sure that the equipment is properly maintained and operating within the manufacturer’s specifications.
Mechanical (HVAC) inspections may include detailed inspections of the heating furnace/blower, the filter in the furnace/blower, secure wiring in the heating furnace/blower etc.
Electrical inspections may include detailed inspections of the electrical outlets, lights and fan, bathroom, electrical panel etc.
Plumbing inspections may include detailed inspections of the water heater, kitchen sink, toilets, etc.

During this event, we will discuss the recently adopted Multifamily Rental Housing ordinance requirements focusing on the Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing inspections and we will demonstrate how to use the inspection software. *Please note, each MEP inspector will need to register for this event.
