From time to time, the City conducts research and publishes plans and studies. These include the Comprehensive Plan and Next Ten Initiative, the Transportation Master Plan, The Livable Cities Initiative, and the City Center Master Plan.
City of Sandy Springs Comprehensive Plan and Next Ten Initiative
The City of Sandy Springs is developing a plan for the “Crossroads” area, which includes the area east and west of Roswell Road from I-285 to the southern end of The Prado shopping center. The goal of the plan is to address the current and future needs of the community while envisioning how the area could evolve in the next 10-15 years.
City Center and City Springs Master Plans
The current City Center Master Plan was adopted in 2012. The update considers the needs and desires of the community to address land use and development patterns, transportation and parking management, economic development, and place-making opportunities. It establishes a 10-year vision for the City Springs district.
Transportation Master Plan Update
The City's current Transportation Master Plan was adopted in April 2021. The plan identifies transportation needs in the City and develops a program of projects and strategies that improve the safety and operations of the transportation system. The 2021 plan serves as an update to the City's original 2008 plan.
