The Sandy Springs Knowledge Base is a internal website used by the City's Call Center staff to help them assist callers.

Accessing the Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base's website address is kb.sandyspringsga.gov.

You will need a username and password to access the Knowledge Base. To obtain an account, put in a ticket with IT.

Account Types

There are two account types:

Subscriber - Users with this account type can read Knowledge Base posts.

Contributor - Users with this account type can created and edit Knowledge Base posts.

To upgrade your account type, put in a ticket with IT.

Updating a Knowledge Base Post

Contributor accounts can update any Knowledge Base post. When you find a post that needs to be updated, click the "Edit Post" function in the top bar.

On the Edit Post page, update the information and click the Update button.

Creating a New Knowledge Base Post

Click the "Add New" function in the menu, or click on the "+New" button in the top bar. Once you have given your post a title and added some information, you'll want to give it a Category to make it easier for Call Center staff to find. You can select multiple categories. The tagging system is not used. Bear in mind that categories are not the only way for Call Center staff to find posts. Often they use the search bar instead.
