A Pool Permit is required for new pool installations and repairs to existing pools and pool decking.

When is a Pool Permit NOT required?
A Pool Permit is not required for above-ground pools with a depth of 2 feet or less.

Who can apply for a Pool Permit?
A Pool Permit can be obtained by licensed contractor or the property owner. In order for the property owner to obtain a permit, the property must be their current permanent residence.

The fees for a Pool Permit include:

  • $25 Admin Fee
  • $50 CO/CC Fee
  • Review Fee
    • $350 for Outdoor Pools
    • $200 for Indoor Pools
  • Pool Building Permit Fee
    • $8 per $1000 of construction valuation for Commercial properties
    • $5 per $1000 of construction valuation for Residential properties
  • Technology Fee (varies based on permit cost)

Required Inspections

  1. Pre-Construction Meeting and Site Inspection: The Building pre-construction meeting and Site pre-construction inspection meetings are conducted prior to any and all land disturbing activities.
  2. Your Building Inspector will provide a list of required inspections during the Building pre-construction meeting.
