The City of Sandy Springs (COSS) renewed its coverage under the National Pollutant Discharge and Elimination System (NPDES) Phase II Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit on December 6, 2017, as required by provisions of the Georgia Water Quality Control Act and the Federal Clean Water Act. This permit requires the development of a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP), to address the following provisions of Section 4.2 Minimum Measures: · Public Education and Outreach on Stormwater Issues · Public Involvement/ Participation · Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE) · Construction Site Stormwater Runoff Control · Post Construction Stormwater Management Control in New Development and Redevelopment · Pollution Prevention/ Good Housekeeping for Municipal Operations
